WUNSCHPUNSCH Fan Project - HTML and cascading
Note: We were asked to do a web page of something we liked for our HTML assignments... I picked a TV series that was fresh on my mind with a beginning and an end. This series was not too long and not too short. I ended up picking the cartoon WUNSCHPUNSCH, adapted from Night of Wishes by Michael Ende. I was familiar with movies based off books from the same author but heard about this series very recently in 2016. I later read a used copy of the book. Although I watched a couple of cartoons during the turn of the century, I do not remember this series on television. Maybe I was busy watching Sailor Moon or got occupied with activities in school. WUNSCHPUNSCH had a sense of humor and today's cartoons seem to be very different. I was a huge fan of The Simpsons and Courage the Cowardly Dog, but it has been a rather long time since I had watched those shows.
June 2020 Update:
I did pick a crazy show, but I was not watching at the time. As soon as the website was finished, I went to play the visual novel game franchise Ace Attorney, got some piano lessons, and got extremely busy with computer science homework. I was under the impression that some of my maternal ancestor were German, and was nice to know that good people like Michael Ende, Lotte Reiniger, and select music composers were also German. I almost wanted to get German lessons (basic grammar for traveling), but I ended up enjoying the music classes in Oswego and declared a minor.
Another reason I did this show was because Night of Wishes was one of the few text filled books between 2015 and 2020 that I managed to finished from beginning to end; although I do manage to finish a selection of graphic novels and big articles from websites. I was becoming a vigorous reader in my early teens for school assignments, but some literature was becoming distasteful when I grew into my older teens. I can feel betrayed by a bad story, or even disgusted.
Along with Night of Wishes, other books that I was able to finished were Night on the Galactic Railroad, Bringing Down the House, and Galatea 2.2.
