Once know as "Current Prob Infor Sci," ISC 300 is a philosophical class involved with the digital age. For the 2016 Fall semester, ISC 300 students will explore relevant philosophical theories and apply them to decisions about individual and social problems confronting electrical engineers, computer engineers, software engineers, and information scientists, satisfying the Humanities general education requirement by addressing "knowledge of the conventions and methods of at least one of the humanities."
Good writing skills will also be studied in the class.
Prerequisite: ISC 220 or CSC 212; or instructor permission
(Some professors in the department may be more than glad to give permission for enrollment without prerequisites).
Equivalent course: PHL 300.
