As AI progresses, it aims to replace more and more aspects of different jobs. Some jobs will be replaced completely, including automation and transportation fields. These fields hire millions of workers. To argue AI will create as many jobs as it will take away seems absurd. The jobs AI creates are likely to involve higher education levels, other than the “human cloud” positions. These not be jobs someone from an uneducated field could readily jump into, if at all. Also, many of the AI fields seem temporary. Once AI adapts enough to process and create on its own, the jobs created in consideration of AI’s modern issues will become obsolete. AI will also lead to a more significant wage gap, by requiring a higher education to perform the necessary jobs. While this problem likely won’t be an issue within our lifetimes, we should not push the problem onto future generations when it may be too late to fix.
